what we do
For The Children - Glacial Lakes serves foster children in Northeast South Dakota by hosting a Royal Family KIDS Camp.
Royal Family KIDS Camp fosters resiliency, self-esteem, hope and positive memories. The camp curriculum and activities are woven through the modality of Trust-Based Relational Intervention to ensure our children are experiencing truly life giving activities throughout the 5 day experience.
Campers are given the royal treatment because everyone at camp is a part of God’s Kingdom!
our motivation
We are motivated by the example Christ set to share a common goal, of caring for those Jesus referred to as “the least of these.”
Matthew 25:40 (NLT)“And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’
James 1:27 (NLT)Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.
